Equipment and Warehouse Volunteer

Make a real difference – one delivery at a time 💙

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help deliver equipment to and from the homes and care homes of people living with Motor Neurone Disease. You’ll also lend a hand keeping our warehouse and equipment clean, organised, and ready to go when needed.

Whether you’re out on the road or working behind the scenes, you’ll be making a real difference – bringing comfort, dignity, and support to those who need it most.

About MND Queensland

MND Queensland is a leading organisation wholly focussed on supporting people living with Motor Neurone Disease and their families, friends, and carers.

We offer understanding and practical assistance by delivering information, education and specialist support services.

About the role:

As Equipment and Warehouse Volunteer you will support the Equipment Team with loading and unloading equipment items for delivery or pick up from client homes and keeping the warehouse and equipment clean and tidy when there are no deliveries on that day.

As the Equipment and Warehouse Volunteer you will be:

Delivering and picking up equipment from people’s homes and care facilities
Making sure gear is clean and good to go before hitting the road
Unpacking, cleaning, and prepping equipment for its next use
Keeping the warehouse tidy and equipment organised
Helping load and unload the van with a bit of muscle and care
Pitching in with stock checks and basic maintenance
Being a kind and helpful face to clients and carers
About you:

Good level of physical fitness – lifting and moving gear with care
Friendly, down-to-earth attitude
Willing to take part in repetitive cleaning tasks if necessary
Reliable and willing to lend a hand wherever needed
Passion for helping others and making a difference
Current holder of or willing to apply for NDIS WSC (Yellow card)
Experience in deliveries, medical equipment or warehousing is a bonus – but not essential! We’ll show you the ropes.

This volunteer opportunity will take place on an ad hoc basis. There are periods when we will have regular tasks to complete each week but there will also be weeks when things are quiet. The timing will depend on deliveries however it will be between the hours of 9-4pm.

We’d love to have you on board! Join our team and help deliver more than just equipment – you’ll be delivering independence, comfort and hope to Queenslanders living with MND. 💙
