Lord Mayor’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree & City Hall Lights
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Brisbane City, and we need your help to spread some joy!
Be part of the excitement at the iconic Lord Mayor’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree in King George Square on Friday 28th November.
Watch as Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner lights up the dazzling 22-metre tree, twinkling with joy! Get ready to “rock around the Christmas tree” with us! 🎶
We also have additional shifts available on Friday 6th December and Friday 13th of December for some extra wand selling fun at the City Hall Lights and Enchanted Gardens.
Event Details
Date: Multiple Shifts: Select on ore more: Friday 28th November
Time: 4:30pm to 9:00pm
Location: King George Square, Brisbane City and Enchanted Gardens
Dress: All black comfortable, you will be provided with a Starlight High Vis Vest to wear. Please wear smart, casual pants (no tracksuit pants please), closed toe comfortable shoes.

Sell our iconic wands: It’s the most wonderful time of the year to bring some extra sparkle! You’ll help sell our dazzling flashing wands lighting up the faces of kids and adults alike with happiness.
Shake those tins: Put on your best festive smile and shake our donation tins to help collect donations that will help brighten the lives of children and families.
Light duties for packdown: At the end of this fabulous FUNdraising event, lend a hand with some light packdown duties — let’s make it a smooth wrap-up!
